<p>I have tried the LTR, 3.16 and dev versions of QGIS and all do
the same thing. I can edit the Lithology field in the expression
box, but it puts brackets around the entry - is there a clue here?
If I try to update the Lithology using the drop-down list, it
displays the value selected but immediately reverts back to the
first value in the list when I tab off the field.</p>
<p>Maybe I have set up the Value Relation incorrectly? Any
suggestions appreciated.</p>

Lithology field has a value relation to the Lithology text
